YARN
.
The yarn, which is made from fiber, is the heart & soul of any fabric.
For this new incarnation of
French Rags I have chosen:
WOOL...but not just any old
wool...
I have chosen Extra Fine
Merino wool, which is grown in New Zealand and then spun and dyed in northern
Italy by Zegna Baruffa.
Zegna Baruffa has been in
business for 185 years ( pretty impressive!) and even though the quality of their Merino fiber is
penultimate...they add a special cashmere finishing process to give it even
more softness...hence its name...
CASHWOOL...CASHWOOL....CASHWOOL.....
FABRIC
The yarn is knitted in Los
Angeles on the same Stoll knitting machines as were used in the French Rags
factory.
We are knitting solid double
knit and jacquard double knit.
All the colors are exclusive
and every piece is knitted to order.
We recommend dry cleaning and
refreshing with Dryel.
The quality of this yarn and
the fabric construction is of such a high quality that we do not foresee
"stretching" "growing" or " kneeing out."
